Despite the February wind that seemed determined to make an appearance in every photograph, their day was full of laughter, emotion, and so many meaningful details.

Getting Ready for an Englewood Beach Elopement

The day began with Emily getting ready surrounded by her closest friends and family. One of my favorite details was the colorful bridesmaid dresses. Each bridesmaid brought her own personality and color to the day, creating such a fun and vibrant contrast against the soft Florida surroundings.

Even more special, Emily had a close friend taking care of her hair and makeup. Having someone she loved and trusted be part of those quiet getting ready moments made the morning feel incredibly personal.

Rather than rushing through the morning, we made space for the little moments, finishing touches, laughter with her bridesmaids, and the anticipation of seeing Zach for the first time.

A First Look Full of Emotion

Before heading to the beach for their ceremony, Emily and Zach shared a private first look.

There is something so meaningful about giving a couple a few quiet moments together before the rest of the day begins. Away from everyone else, they had the opportunity to take a breath, see each other for the first time, and really soak in the fact that they were about to get married.

From there, we spent some time taking portraits before heading to their ceremony location along the beach.

A Sentimental Bouquet Filled With Memories

One of the most meaningful details from Emily and Zach’s wedding day was Emily’s unique bouquet basket.

Attached to the basket were charms representing the loved ones who had passed away. It was a beautiful way to carry those people with her throughout the wedding day and include them in such an important moment.

Wedding details like this are what make each celebration completely unique. They may seem small to someone else, but to the couple and their families, they can hold an entire lifetime of memories.

A Windy Florida Beach Ceremony

February brought plenty of Florida sunshine and plenty of wind!

The wind was whipping throughout their portraits and continued into the ceremony, but rather than letting it take away from the day, Emily and Zach embraced it. Sometimes the unexpected elements of a wedding day end up becoming part of what makes the photographs feel authentic.
