A Sparkling Start to Forever | New Year’s Eve Wedding

As the world counted down to a brand-new year, Tayli and Dylan were counting down to the start of their forever at Grave River Island Resort.

There’s something truly magical about a New Year’s Eve wedding—the romance of fresh beginnings, the glittering details, and the electric energy in the air. And Tayli and Dylan’s wedding? It was the perfect mix of elegance, emotion, and celebration. These two travelled from the California West Coast to the East Coast for their wedding.

Getting Ready: Mimosas, Megan’s, and Memories

The girls got ready upstairs, mimosas in hand, laughter echoing through the space. It was one of those rare mornings where time slowed down just enough to soak in every moment. Hair and makeup, music playing, and that beautiful energy of best friends hyping up the bride before her big moment. The Grooms was calm, cool, and collected getting ready downstairs with his boys.

One thing that had us all cracking up? There were so many Megans. Seriously—I lost count. But what made it even sweeter is that most of them bonded over years of playing softball together. You could feel the deep-rooted friendships, the kind that form when you’ve spent long summer days on the field and grown into women side by side.

There was such a strong sense of sisterhood in the room—not just bridesmaids, but lifelong teammates and chosen family. The kind of crew every bride deserves by her side.

The Ceremony: River Views and Palm Trees

With the Caloosahatchee River glistening behind them, surrounded by palm trees and soft green grass, Tayli and Dylan said “I do” under the open sky. It was Florida magic at its finest—light breeze, warm air, and a peaceful backdrop that made the whole thing feel like a postcard.

Guests sat under the open sky as Tayli walked down the aisle, absolutely glowing. The ceremony was sweet, emotional, and full of meaning. You could see how present they were with each other, taking in every word, every promise. The palms swayed gently as they sealed it with a kiss, and the crowd erupted with joy.

Portraits: River Romance

After the ceremony, we wandered near the water for portraits, and wow—this spot delivered. Between the soft blue sky, the lush greenery, and the river glimmering behind them, the portraits felt equal parts tropical and timeless. Their bridal party brought the fun.

The Reception: Midnight Confetti & Forever Vibes

And then—the party. Their reception was a full-on New Year’s Eve celebration, with a packed dance floor, sparkling details, and champagne flowing all night long. Guests came ready to celebrate not just the new year, but the new beginning Tayli and Dylan were stepping into. One of the most hilarious moments of the night: the shirt toss.

Instead of a bouquet or garter toss, Tayli and Dylan threw t-shirts into the crowd—one reading “Looking for a Wife” and the other, “Looking for a Husband.” The room lost it. It was unexpected, hilarious, and honestly? Way more fun than a traditional toss. 10/10 recommend.

The night ended with fireworks and a sparkler exit to send-off the newlyweds
